At this time of profound and rapid change, the trustees considered it timely to review and progress the charity’s fundraising remit with the support of three friends with specialist skills and knowledge. A Zoom consultation was held on Friday 4th December (image above) focussing on how to enhance the capacity of BASED UK to meet its programme funding obligations. Insights and ideas were shared including how other European funding agencies such as the Unity Foundation in Luxembourg operate in support of its activities. And how can BASED UK learn from its organisational experience and share with the wider UK donor community about its perspective of the nature of the development process, translating Baha’i terminologies into language understood by development practitioners and policy makers? Another session will be held in January 2021 as this is a topic which will require ongoing consultation.
